Which BTS Places Each Fan Tour Visits

The BTS tours here share a core route of outside stops in Gangnam and Yongsan, then split on what they add. The pick, the ARMY Must-Visit BTS Tour in Seoul, covers six stops in 4-11 hours for $55. All BTS tours side by side in BTS tours in Seoul.

Stops Compared

The table lists the stops each BTS listing names in its itinerary, with the length and the price per person from the listing. None of them goes inside the HYBE building, which is closed to visitors.

TourStops namedLengthPrice
ARMY Must-Visit BTS Tour in SeoulJamsil Sports Complex, HYBE building, old Big Hit building, Hakdong Park, Hyuga, Yoojung Sikdang4-11 hours$55

Private K-pop Boyband Location TourBTS album and video locations, favourite restaurants, a BTS theme cafe, chosen with the guide4-5 hours$230

Meals, Pickup and Start Times

Food is the main difference in what you pay on the day. The $55 route leaves food and drinks out, so a meal at Yoojung Sikdang is at your own cost. The $78 day tour includes meals and adds Daejanggeum Park in Yongin, the set of SUGA's Daechwita video. Some departures need a minimum of 6 travellers, or the operator may cancel with notice.

The In The Soop day trip meets in the Amid Hotel lobby at 7:20 and includes the entrance ticket to the filming house, but no lunch or dinner. It is also sold with no refund, so book it only once your dates are fixed. The private boyband tour includes pickup, a licensed guide, fuel and parking, and you choose the stops.

K-pop Dance Classes in Seoul Compared

Every dance class here is taught in English and ends with a video of your routine. They differ on area, length and how you pick the song, from $38 near Lotte World Tower to $65 for a private beginner lesson. More in K-pop dance classes in Seoul.

Four Classes Side by Side

The table sets the four classes side by side on area, length, song choice and price per person, read from each listing. Video editing is included on all four.

ClassAreaLengthSongPrice
K-pop Dance Class with Video in GangnamYeoksam-dong, Gangnam1.5 hoursLatest highlight routine, your choice in a private class$57
K-pop Dance Class in Hongdae with VideoMapo-gu, Hongdae1.5 hoursAny song in a private session$50
K-pop Dance Class near Lotte World TowerSongpa, near Jamsil70 minutesA selected song, your choice in private$38
Private Beginner K-pop Dance Class and VideoNear Jonggak Station2 hoursPick from a list of 10-15 recent songs$65

How the Video Works

The Gangnam class films for 10-15 minutes, then edits the clip and uploads it to the studio's YouTube channel, which usually takes 7-10 days. The Lotte World Tower class records the routine for 10 minutes in the open class and 20 minutes in a private one. The private beginner lesson splits its 2 hours into a 1-hour lesson and a 1-hour shoot in themed rooms at a K-pop center, filmed on an iPhone and edited into one video.

None of the four asks for dance experience. The Hongdae class caps a join-in group at 8 people, and the Lotte World Tower class runs daily with as few as 2 participants.

KPop Demon Hunters Locations in Seoul

Netflix's own locations guide names real Seoul places that appear in KPop Demon Hunters. Several of them sit within one day's route across the city. More in KPop Demon Hunters locations and KPop Demon Hunters tours in Seoul.

The Real Places

Netflix Tudum lists nine real places in the film: Bukchon Hanok Village, Cheongdam Bridge, COEX K-POP Square, Gyeongbokgung, Lotte World Tower, Myeongdong, Naksan Park, N Seoul Tower and Seoul Olympic Stadium. One correction from Visit Seoul before you plan around the finale: there is no stadium atop Namsan, the stage in the film is a setting. The real N Seoul Tower stands 236 m tall on a 243 m mountain.

Gyeongbokgung, at 161 Sajik-ro, opens 9:00-18:30 and closes on Tuesdays.

Two Tours That Link Them

The KPop Demon Hunters Filming Location Tour costs $108 per person and runs 8 hours with hotel pickup, Gyeongbokgung admission, the N Seoul Tower cable car and kimbap or a hotdog included. The KPop Demon Hunters Day Tour with Dinner costs $193 per person, also 8 hours, and covers COEX, Gangnam, SM Entertainment HQ, Seoul's fortress wall, Bukchon Hanok Village and N Seoul Tower, with a bunsik dinner included. It is not suitable for children under 7. Both offer free cancellation up to 24 hours ahead.

Where to Stay in Seoul for a K-pop Trip

Most K-pop tours here start from a Seoul station or a central studio, and several BTS routes pick up from hotels. Three areas put you next to the stops on this page.

Links open a hotel search for that area on Booking.com through Stay22. Prices and availability are shown there.

Where to Buy K-pop Albums and Merch in Seoul

Albums, light sticks and merch cluster in three areas: Seongsu for SM fans, Hongdae and COEX in Gangnam for everyone else. All three main stores post official daily hours. Store by store in the K-pop store Seoul guide.

Three Stores With Official Hours

KWANGYA@Seoul is SM's free flagship store in Seongsu, open daily 10:30-20:00, 73 m from Seoul Forest Station Exit 5. K-Pop Square Hongdae is a specialised K-pop store at 141 Yanghwa-ro, open daily 11:00-22:00 near Hongik Univ. Station Exit 1, and it hosts pop-ups and exhibitions.

Ktown4u COEX fills floors 2F to 4F of the COEX Artium in Gangnam, open daily 11:00-20:00, next to the COEX K-POP Square with its 3D WAVE artwork.

Fit It Into a Tour Day

Several tours already pass these areas, so you can shop on the way. KPop Demon Hunters Day Tour with Dinner visits COEX, home of Ktown4u. K-pop Dance Class in Hongdae with Video runs a short walk from K-Pop Square Hongdae. K-pop Fan Tour with Idol Show and Agency Visit starts the day at HiKR Ground in central Seoul before its company visit and show.

Taking a Teen K-pop Fan to Seoul

A dance class and a live show are the safest picks for a family. Both run on a fixed schedule and promise no idol sightings, so nobody is left waiting outside an agency gate.

Picks That Work for Families

K-pop Dance Class near Lotte World Tower costs $38 per person, runs daily even with 2 participants, and suits first-timers. The Painters K-pop Dance Show Ticket costs $37, lasts 75 minutes plus a Lotte Mart voucher, and asks you to arrive 15 minutes before showtime. K-pop Dance Class with Video in Gangnam holds open classes in English with video shooting and editing included, and is not suitable for children under 13. For Demon Hunters fans, KPop Demon Hunters Day Tour with Dinner is not suitable for children under 7.

Free Stops on the Same Day

Pair a paid pick with free spots. HiKR Ground is a free K-culture complex at Jonggak Station Exit 5, open Tuesday to Sunday 10:00-20:00 and closed Mondays, where visitors film music-video-style content. K-Pop Square Hongdae near Hongik Univ.

Station Exit 1 is free to browse daily 11:00-22:00 and often hosts pop-ups.

How to Get Into a K-pop Music Show

Foreigners get into a K-pop music show recording by applying on the show's own official site in Korean, with a passport. Seats are very limited, and Visit Seoul states that applying does not guarantee a ticket. Step by step in the Inkigayo tickets guide, and every show ticket in K-pop show tickets in Seoul.

Applying on Your Own

The official route is the broadcaster. For SBS Inkigayo and KBS Music Bank, you sign up on the show's official site, which is in Korean. A passport or alien registration card is needed.

On the day you show your ticket and ID at the studio. Visit Seoul notes that procedures may have changed, so read the show's current audience guide before you apply. Expect no guarantees, since seats are very limited.

The Ticket Tour Route

The listed way in is a ticket tour. The K-pop Music Show Pre-recording Ticket Tour sells a pre-recording rehearsal ticket from $127 per person, with a Ticket Only option and a Full Tour Package that adds HiKR Ground, transport to Ilsan and a guide. Rehearsals start at 17:30 and the concert segment runs about 2.5 hours. The lineup changes for every episode.

The listing describes front-row standing about 50 m from the stage.

Shows You Can Book Any Night

For a live K-pop show you can book without an application, The Painters K-pop Dance Show Ticket costs $37 for a 75-minute show of painting and K-pop dance near Gwanghwamun, with 4.8 points from 962 reviews. The KOKOON show inside the K-pop Fan Tour with Idol Show and Agency Visit is a live show with music, dance and comedy, and the ticket is included in the $56 tour price.

The Honest Small Print

Every K-pop tour in Seoul has limits. Here they are before you pay.

  • No tour can promise that you will see or meet an idol. Agency buildings are workplaces.
  • Visitors cannot enter the HYBE building, and HYBE Insight stopped operating after 15 January 2023, per its official notice.
  • The In The Soop BTS Filming Location Day Trip and the K-pop Idol Makeover and Photoshoot are not refundable.
  • Applying for a music show seat on the broadcaster's site does not guarantee one, per Visit Seoul.
  • HiKR Ground is closed on Mondays.
  • Seoul Olympic Stadium in Jamsil is under renovation, with completion expected in December 2026.

Dos and Don'ts on a K-pop Tour in Seoul

Do

  • Do check the refund terms before booking, because the In The Soop day trip and the idol makeover photoshoot are listed as no refund.
  • Do carry your passport on a music show day, because Visit Seoul says a passport or alien registration card is needed for applications.
  • Do plan HiKR Ground for Tuesday to Sunday, because the free complex closes on Mondays.
  • Do read what a tour includes before booking, because meals, hotel pickup and observatory lifts differ between listings.

Don't

  • Don't expect to enter the HYBE building, because Visit Seoul states visitors are not permitted inside and HYBE Insight stopped operating there after 15 January 2023.
  • Don't wait outside agency buildings hoping for a sighting, because they are workplaces and no tour can promise one.
  • Don't build a plan around Jamsil Olympic Stadium, because it is under renovation with completion expected December 2026.
  • Don't trust anyone who promises you will meet an idol, because no listed tour guarantees it.

Everything Else Worth Knowing

Can You Visit HYBE, SM and YG in Seoul?

No, you cannot go inside the HYBE building in Seoul. Visit Seoul states that visitors are not permitted to enter the HYBE headquarters, and HYBE Insight stopped operating after 15 January 2023. Full guides: the HYBE building, the SM building, the YG building and the JYP building.

HYBE in Yongsan

HYBE Insight, the museum inside the HYBE building in Yongsan, stopped operating after 15 January 2023. The closure notice says it will return in a new space, with no date given. So a BTS tour in Seoul is a route of outside stops. The ARMY BTS Tour in Seoul and the BTS Footsteps ARMY Fan Day Tour both name the HYBE building as a stop, with a 30-minute guided visit outside on the first.

The old Big Hit Entertainment building and the former dormitory are on the route too.

SM in Seongsu

SM Entertainment headquarters sits at 83-21 Wangsimni-ro, Seongdong-gu, at Seoul Forest Station (Suin-Bundang Line) Exit 5. Inside on B1F is KWANGYA@Seoul, SM's free K-pop store, open daily 10:30-20:00 and closed Lunar New Year's Day and Chuseok. Closures are posted on Instagram.
